On p. 66, we profile Canadian novelist Carley Fortune, who grew up cottaging in Barry’s Bay, Ont., in the Madawaska Valley. She drew inspiration from the town for her first book, Every Summer After. Now, Barry’s Bay draws many fans, trying to find the actual places that inspired Carley’s book. Here are a few of her favourite spots—they make cameos in the novel.
