ÉLOGE DE LA RUINE Axel Hütte, Aphrodisias Night, 2017. Comme un temps cristallisé, le photographe allemand Axel Hütte présente, à la Fondation Bisazza, en Italie, son travail sur des cités gréco-romaines de Turquie (Milet, Éphèse, Aphrodisias, Sagalassos, Hierapolis), oscillant entre réalité, prégnance de motifs décoratifs et illusion, avec des jeux de lumière. Les plans architecturaux se détachent, donnant presque une impression de 3D, renforcée par ses tirages sur verre et sur Dibond. Il se joue de l'altération des couleurs, accentuant la dramaturgie de ses images, où les jours brumeux dialoguent avec des vues de nuit. Son approche, entre art conceptuel et documentaire, marquée par l'école de Düsseldorf, le place aux côtés de plasticiens reconnus: Thomas Ruff, Elger Esser, Candida Höfer.
