FOYER DE CRÉATION «Le but de La Station est de défendre les arts dans leur forme la plus contemporaine.» L'artiste Cédric Teisseire rassemble, dès 1996, dans une ancienne station-service prêtée par le CHU, un collectif d'artistes sur l'idée «d'une solidarité opérative, dans une dynamique de groupe tout en préservant les prérogatives des recherches personnelles de chacun». Il n'aura de cesse de l'agrandir, de le faire fructifier, déplaçant les ateliers et les espaces d'exposition en 2009 dans d'anciens abattoirs, bien nommés le 109. Ce hub artistique s'affirme au fil du temps comme un carrefour névralgique de l'art «en train de se faire» à Nice, programmant quatre importantes expositions par an, accueillant en résidence des plasticiens étrangers.
