BEL OUVRAGE Le designer Camillo Bernal, sorti il y a cinq ans de Camondo, collabore depuis avec François Passolunghi. «Il est à mes côtés depuis mon projet de diplôme qui présentait des poulaillers très spéciaux, avec des balançoires et des perchoirs. Aujourd'hui, j'ai imaginé une collection “François 2”, qui met en valeur deux savoir-faire par le feu, le métal par François Pouenant, le rotin par François Passolunghi.» Le rotinier avoue qu'il aime collaborer avec les créateurs. «Leur ignorance des contraintes de la matière leur permet de dessiner des formes théoriquement impossibles à réaliser. Cela me pousse à faire des choses auxquelles je n'aurais pas pensé.» Des rotins venus d'Indonésie, du Sri Lanka, des Philippines se prêtent à toutes les circonvolutions.
