MÉMENTO, ESPACE DÉPARTEMENTAL D'ART CONTEMPORAIN, RÉVEILLE EN 2016 UN ANCIEN CARMEL. UNE EXPOSITION SAISONNIÈRE MET EN RÉSONANCE DES ARTISTES RECONNUS INTERNATIONALEMENT ET LE LIEU, AFIN QU'ILS CRÉENT DES OEUVRES IN SITU OU LES INTERPRÈTENT DANS DES SCÉNOGRAPHIES IMMERSIVES. LES ÉMOTIONS SONT CONVOQUÉES AU PREMIER PLAN, LA MÉDIATION EST ORCHESTRÉE PAR UNE JEUNE ÉQUIPE PÉDAGOGIQUE, LES DÉBATS ET LES RENCONTRES SUIVENT.

EN RÉSONANCE « Et si l'art rendait heureux? On a oublié plusieurs choses dont la place immuable de l'art dans les sociétés, dès la Préhistoire. Pendant la période Covid, des neurologues ont montré que les émotions artistiques provoquent du bien-être. » Karine Mathieu, à la tête de Mémento, désire partager ce lieu incroyable, qui a conservé sa chapelle, sa salle de réfectoire, ses cellules. Elle imagine des expositions dont les titres interpellent. « Full Sentimental », jusqu’à mi-octobre, mixe sculpture, peinture, vidéos, photos, performances, et multiplie les invitations par des événements. Un bal masqué, un rendez-vous art-oenologie, un rituel du bonheur… « On peut être exigeant et populaire. Il n'y a pas de panneaux explicatifs auprès des oeuvres. Mémento emmène le public vers ce qu'il ne connaît pas. » MÉMENTO…
