DEPUIS 150 ANS Mozart, Napoléon, Victor Hugo, de Gaulle, croisent des chérubins joufflus et des vierges à l’enfant. Des bas-reliefs années 1930 s’alignent aux côtés de rosaces florales. Dans le bureau où se sont succédé ces staffeurs de père en fils, Robert le grand-père montre d’antiques photographies des décors monumentaux réalisés pour le casino de Saint-Sébastien en 1921, le théâtre de Toulon… Jean-Baptiste Turco perpétue le savoir-faire du moulage. «Autrefois il y avait un sculpteur à demeure. Le placo a été destructeur mais le staff résiste et revient sur le devant de la scène. J’ai réalisé un lustre-gorgone pour l’architecte Nicolas Boythias.» Robert Turco a reçu de son côté un livre «d’un architecte local», dit-il. Sa dédicace est de Rudy Ricciotti.
