BÉTON VERT James Haywood a pris la route du sud, avec une halte à Montpellier à la Halle Tropisme puis à Hyères comme finaliste de la 17e Design Parade 2023. «C’est la route du design, avec Toulon et non loin de Milan.» Le designer-chercheur installe son atelier de conception et de présentation dans la partie historique d’Hyères. Il explique à tout visiteur la formule de son béton «vert»: le ciment Portland qui nécessite une cuisson à 1500°C, très nocive, est remplacé par le laitier des hauts fourneaux de Fossesur-Mer, qui est un déchet non utilisé, et le sable par des agrégats de chantier, le tout séchant à l’air libre.
