Ainsi ils abordent la couleur non pas comme une nuance classique mais comme un spectre évolutif. «Nous avons imaginé un rendu plus graphique, infusé avec les couleurs graduelles d'un coucher de soleil. » Pour fondre ces teintes ensemble, la technique est empruntée aux portraits tissés du XIXe siècle, répliquant à la perfection des peintures en camaïeu, mais monochromes.
