DANS CET ANCIEN BÂTIMENT DE LA FACULTÉ DE PHARMACIE, LES EXPOSITIONS SE PRÊTENT À TOUTES LES EXPÉRIENCES : PERFORMANCES, VIDÉOS, INSTALLATIONS, MUSIQUE. UNE NOUVELLE GÉNÉRATION D’ARTISTES, CONNUS OU EN PASSE DE L’ÊTRE, CROISE LES MÉDIUMS. SON CAFÉ À L’ARCHITECTURE ARTE POVERA PROLONGE CES RENCONTRES. AU PRINTEMPS, RENDEZ-VOUS AVEC MARLÈNE MOCQUET ET SES POMMES D’AMOUR.

LIEU EXPÉRIMENTAL À la Panacée se déroule la première biennale du territoire, «Sol!». Les curatrices du MO.CO, Rahmouna Boutayeb et Caroline Chabrand, sont parties en prospection des artistes d’Occitanie. «Un long cheminement de la montagne à la mer, à la terre.» Plus de trente ont été retenus pour cette édition inaugurale nommée «Un pas de côté». «Il s’agissait de décloisonner les pratiques et d’ouvrir un champ des possibles, une porosité entre les expressions, art brut, fanzine, vidéo, installation, musique...» Numa Hambursin insiste sur cette nouvelle carte mentale de l’art :«Quand on regarde l’offre, le Midi est un des endroits au monde où elle est la plus importante. Le MO.CO s’inscrit dans ce mouvement historique et désire faire prendre conscience du patrimoine et des possibilités en matière d’art contemporain.» LA PANACÉE…
