Tresser la nature, renouer avec la vannerie, défricher des territoires créatifs oubliés… C’est en prenant possession de l’hôtel Drugeon, une bâtisse provençale du XVIIIe siècle, installée au cœur du village de Vallabrègues, dans le Gard, que l’idée a germé. S’emparer des lieux comme des savoir-faire, et habitant cette ancienne fabrique de paniers et de mannes en canne, telle est l’intention de Benoît Rauzy et Anthony Watson, cofondateurs d’Atelier Vime, une maison de création et d’édition d’objets et de mobilier artisanaux. Très vite, avec la designer Raphaelle Hanley, ils réinterprétent le vase Médicis, une corbeille à fleurs créée dans les années 1940 et retrouvée dans les archives.
