IL FALLUT LA VISION DE NICOLE BOUYALA, ÉLUE MAIRE EN 1983, POUR REDONNER AU VILLAGE SA VOCATION PREMIÈRE. EN 1989, IL COMPTAIT SIX ATELIERS DE POTIERS; AUJOURD'HUI, UNE TRENTAINE DE CÉRAMISTES ET TOUT UN ÉCOSYSTÈME VIVENT DE L'ART DE LA TERRE. CHAQUE ANNÉE, TERRALHA, FESTIVAL EUROPÉEN DE CÉRAMIQUE, STIMULE L’ÉMERGENCE DE JEUNES TALENTS.

MELTING-POT Créée par Serge et Brigitte Tribouillois dans les années 1980, au moment où la vocation potière du village se réaffirme, la galerie Terra Viva est dirigée aujourd'hui par Maud Grillet, ex-attachée de conservation du patrimoine. Affûtée par son expérience muséale, la jeune femme suscite des rencontres entre artistes connus et émergents, invite des talents internationaux, propose des rapprochements inattendus. Sous son impulsion, la galerie est devenue une plaque tournante de la création céramique contemporaine, autorisant la cohabitation des univers mais aussi la rencontre intime avec les oeuvres. Si le lieu fait la part belle aux sculptures, il propose également des pièces utilitaires car, dit Maud, « le désir de vivre au quotidien avec des objets porteurs de sens est toujours vif ».
