IL SE DÉDIE, EN HOMMAGE À SA FILLE, À LA PHOTOGRAPHIE. LA SECONDE, ÉLISA FARRAN, DIRECTRICE DU MUSÉE ESTRINE, PROPOSE UNE REDÉCOUVERTE D'ARTISTES MAJEURS DU XXE SIÈCLE ET DES AVANT-GARDES. LEURS PROPOS, AU-DELÀ DE LA FORCE PLASTIQUE, QUESTIONNENT DEMAIN.

IMAGES FORTES Toute jeune photographe avec déjà une exposition, «Les Marocains» à la Maison européenne de la Photographie (MEP) en 2016, Leila Alaoui rend visible les invisibles. Les yeux dans les yeux avec les oubliés, les immigrés, les réfugiés, elle saisit leur noblesse dans une posture, leur espérance dans un regard, l'aridité de la vie dans les rides des mains. Partie en mission à Ouagadougou, au Burkina Faso, pour Amnesty International, elle meurt dans un attentat en janvier 2016. C'est à Fontvieille que sa famille franco-marocaine décide d'installer la fondation portant son nom, dans la tour des Abbés. La galerie internationale Continua présente le travail de Leila Alaoui et s'associe pour des projets futurs à ce lieu dédié à la photographie contemporaine.
