L'EXPO Le contexte de l'Espace de l'Art Concret à Mouans-Sartoux n'est pas tout à fait anodin pour dévoiler la vie et l’œuvre de Francis Bacon en tant que créateur de mobilier. Les multiples tendances de l'abstraction géométrique y sont représentées depuis 1990, à travers la Donation Albers-Honegger, et une pédagogie active explore avec une forte cohérence scientifique tous les interstices de la création contemporaine. Cet été, le design s'invite à Mouans-Sartoux. Celui de Francis Bacon confronté à Eileen Gray, André Lurçat, Robert Mallet-Stevens, Fernand Léger. En préambule, il faut se projeter dans Londres en 1929, mais aussi Paris ou Berlin au temps du Bauhaus. Il faut pouvoir imaginer le jeune Francis Bacon s'installant à Londres dans un garage qu'il convertit en atelier. C'est là que naîtront ses premiers meubles s'inscrivant…
