AU FIL DU TEMPS, IL SE PREND DE PASSION POUR LEUR MÉTIER, ET LEURS ENCOURAGEMENTS LE POUSSENT À SE LANCER À SON TOUR. IL DÉBUTE EN PRODUISANT UNE VAISSELLE BRUTE, QUI PLAÎT AUX CHEFS ÉTOILÉS, AVANT DE BIFURQUER VERS UNE PRODUCTION PLUS PERSONNELLE.

CHEMINS CREUX L'éditeur Marc-Alexandre Ducoté l'oriente vers une production artistique, et Pedro Galdon échafaude des architectures de grès, qui tiennent grâce à un rigoureux travail sur les points de force avant cuisson. «J'y parviens au prix d'une quantité d'essais – et d'échecs – impressionnante», explique-t-il. On aimerait bien se glisser par une porte dérobée au cœur de «Cosmovisión» ou «Desocupación de la Ciudad». Pedro regarde du côté de ses maîtres: l'architecte Luis Barragán, les sculpteurs Richard Serra, Eduardo Chillida ou Jorge Oteiza, qui avait une maison à Irun et dont Pedro croise encore les amis. Sculpter la lumière l'intéresse aussi. Avec Silvia Ceñal, il a réalisé «Zesta Punta», des lampes mêlant le grès et l'alfa, et «Zaho», une applique dessinée par le Studio Maentler pour les éditions du coté. CERÁMICAS…
