« Monsieur Bonnard et moi partageons la même passion pour la couleur. Pour cette exposition, nous nous sommes plongés dans ses peintures et avons extrait certains de ses motifs et couleurs pour recréer des toiles de fond à ses peintures, offrant l'expérience immersive d'une maison au visiteur », raconte India Mahdavi. En témoignent les tableaux Promenade dans le jardin (1896), placé contre un mur marron vif qui voit le vert profond de la peinture aiguisé avec une nouvelle intensité, et Le Chemisier à carreaux(1892), qui se révèle via les lignes perpendiculaires de la chemise tartan qui habillent l'espace.
