Que ceux qui l'ont éprouvée une fois essayent de bâtir en eux-mêmes, avec les pauvres mots que voici, le décor merveilleux dont les plans sont si nets et si bien accordés: des cyprès noirs, un immense éperon de montagne qui descend, couvert d'oliviers ronds, la ville d'Ajaccio, formant la pointe, aiguë et blanche, la mer au-delà très luisante à cause du matin et de la brise, et, au-delà encore, enveloppant le golfe à triple et quadruple rang, les mon tagnes de la Corse, Violettes au bord de l'eau,…
