À son retour, il y a plus de dix ans, elle ouvre Atelier Simone. Collectionneuse de textiles anciens, drap, nappe, chemise d’homme début XXe… jusqu’aux torchons qu’elle ne cesse de teindre. Au fil des années, elle concocte ses propres recettes: bains à répétition dans différentes cuves de fermentation, gestes renouvelés, oxydation à l’air suivant des temps très précis… Le pigment bleu extrait des feuilles d’Indigofera ne se dissout pas…
