THE SWEET SOUND OF SUCCESS BMW stops going shhh-shhh-shhh and starts going Crackpffshhhh, Aaaaaaaaaah! How would you describe that feeling upon having finally cured a hard to fathom car problem? Yes yes, I know it's relief, but I'd like to probe a little deeper. For me, it's imbibing a certain beverage, and the first of many at that. Not beer for me – ghastly bloating stuff – but a very well-presented G&T. Measuring the gin in the glass, the cracking of the ice cubes as they plop in, the crackpffshhhh of the tonic ring pull (slimline if you please) and that feeling as the resulting cocktail hits the back of the throat.
