A bit like the first generation MINI and New Beetle, the diminutive Fiat instantly captured the imagination when it appeared in 2008, proving it’s entirely possible to own a chic modern city car that isn’t boring. With its distinctive shape and tiny proportions (it’s a meagre 3.5m long) the 500’s certainly inherited the character of the original, the Nuova 500, which ran from 1957 through until 1975. And with a car this fashionable, you’d be right in expecting there would be plenty of scope for personalisation.
