MG Magnette Mark III I should make clear right from the start that I am a big fan of the BMC Farinas and tried fairly hard a few years back to put an MG Magnette version on my drive, but even an enthusiast like me can't help thinking that the marketing men were over-egging the pudding with this brochure. Aside from the speed lines trailing the artistically drawn images, describing it as having 'a flawless sporting pedigree' and offering 'all the familiar magic of its successful sporting forebears' was somewhat wide of the mark. More accurate were the boasts that it featured 'Farina elegance expressed in sleek lines and radiant colours.'
