How complicated can it be to replace a couple of rear telescopic dampers? In the case of our BMW 335i, it was more involved than I had initially expected although, on reflection, it could have been far worse. Before we started the job at AES near York, Mark Shipman and mechanic Pete were already sucking air through their teeth at the prospect of finding the upper mounting points for the suspension dampers. If it involved removing the parcel shelf, they weren't looking forward to this potentially back-breaking part of the job. Fortunately, after emptying the boot of the 335i and peeling back the trim along the inner wheelarches, we spotted the upper mounts.
