Too much too young? Not if you’re Bobby Ball, who came to his 911 from scooters of the Vespa and Lambretta variety, beloved of the mod fraternity, from the early 1960s right up to, well, the present day. While many of us would be happy to create a backdated 911 and leave it with period-coloured bodywork, our man has taken the aesthetic of his Porsche to a different level. A two-tone one, in fact. It’s a reflection of the colourific detail you might find on one of his restored scooters. Sure, his air-cooled classic has all the attitude of a late 1960s or early 1970s Stuttgart-crested competition machine, but the most arresting aspect of this 911 is its unusual colour scheme.
