Automotive nirvana. This is how Jonnie Kenny describes his 911 backdate, based on a 1989 964 Carrera 4. “The best air-cooled road racer in Europe,” he suggests. A bold claim, for sure. Enough, in fact, for us to venture to his home in the heat of Netherlands in order to see this Porsche for ourselves. Not that it looks much like a 964 Carrera 4 today. Before we go into the detail, let’s look at the backstory. Jonnie is an Irishman living a stone’s throw from Amsterdam.
