Not long before this issue of Classic Porsche went to print, I pitched one of those ‘ask me anything’ invitations in my Instagram stories (follow me @furrsfleet). As anticipated, most of the questions from my followers revolved around my job, with enquiries including “how did you get into automotive journalism” and “what feature would you love to publish, but would worry about negative reaction for doing so”. The latter presented the opportunity to address two themes always guaranteed to generate strong audience reaction, not that I would ever shy away from printing a story I felt interesting and carrying editorial merit.
