Never one to shy away from a ridiculous roadtrip, Ade drags the Mk2 out for a mammoth trek to Festival Of The Unexceptional.

Now in it’s tenth year, Hagerty’s Festival of the Unexceptional’s popularity is going from strength to strength. Before I attended for the first time last year I had my reservations. ‘Unexceptional’?! The cars involved are anything but! Plus a static show run by an insurance company in the grounds of a stately home hardly sounds like it’s going to set the world alight. The idea of snobs scoffing at exactly the type of simple old cars I love so much did nothing but make me sceptical before going anywhere near a ‘FOTU’ event. Thankfully I have been proven very wrong.
