Around 15 years ago, I can remember the first couple of highly-modified Mk1 Fiesta builds to start appearing that changed the way people looked at the model as a whole. For the first time, we started seeing humble Fiestas being built with the same level of attention, detail and specification usually associated with high-end Mk1 and Mk2 Escort builds. They marked a turning point and I’d argue that Dan Thorne’s Fiesta pictured here marks a new era for the Mk2 in a similar way. Perfectly finished, it’s got the underpinnings of an all-out track car, complete with fully-fledged HT Racing engine build.
