Banish your mechanical fan with a thermostatically-controlled electric one — or two — and keep your classic Ford cool this summer.

The logic was, if it will cool a 300 bhp turbo Sierra it should stand a chance of cooling the mild, small-block Ford V8 that’s powering the Capri. And if doesn’t then there’s a world of upgrade alloy radiators already available that will bolt in its place. With that sorted what we needed then was a thermostatically-controlled fan to cool it. But we’ve had plenty of V8 experience before and know you need as much cooling potential as possible — especially sat in traffic where airflow can be restricted.
