Welcome to the April 2025 issue of Classic & Vintage Commercials, and what is actually a rather special month for yours truly, as April 9 actually marks my 40th anniversary as a motoring/transport journalist and Editor. As I think I’ve mentioned here before, from 1979 to 1984 I spent five years training to be a schoolteacher, and though I’d passed the academic and practical parts of the course, I wasn’t actually very good at it. In fact, I was probably the worst teacher to ever stand in front of a class! Deep down, I was probably also aware of this before finishing the course.
