Garlicky MustarD Vinaigrette

This versatile dressing is as good on a pasta or bean salad as it is on a tossed green one.

❚ ADULT: YES ❚ HANDS-ON TIME: 5 MINUTES ❚ TOTAL TIME: 5 MINUTES ❚ MAKES: 4 SERVINGS KITCHEN GEAR Cutting board Sharp knife (ADULT NEEDED) Measuring cups Measuring spoons Jar with a tight-fitting lid INGREDIENTS ¼ cup olive or vegetable oil¼ cup vinegar (any kind)2 tablespoons mustard (any kind)¾ teaspoon salt1 garlic clove, peeled and finely chopped (or ¼ teaspoon garlic powder) INSTRUCTIONS Put all the ingredients in the jar, screw the lid on tightly, and shake well.
