Easy SalaD Dressing

We love to make our own salad dressing. It’s easy, it doesn’t need a lot of ingredients, and it always tastes good.

❚ ADULT: NO ❚ HANDS-ON TIME: 5 MINUTES ❚ TOTAL TIME: 5 MINUTES ❚ MAKES: 4 SERVINGS KITCHEN GEAR Measuring spoons Medium bowl Whisk INGREDIENTS 2 tablespoons olive oil2 tablespoons vinegar (any kind you like) or lemon or lime juice1 tablespoon mustard (any kind you like)¼ teaspoon salt INSTRUCTIONS Put all the ingredients in the bowl and whisk until blended. Taste some of the dressing on a lettuce leaf. If it’s too sharp for your taste, add a little more oil and whisk again. Use right away or refrigerate up to 2 weeks. GET CREATIVE Add any of these extras to your salad dressing: • 1 small garlic clove, peeled and finely chopped, or ¼ teaspoon garlic powder• ¼ teaspoon dried oregano, basil, or thyme• 1 tablespoon plain yogurt• 1 tablespoon tahini (sesame paste)• 1 cup plain yogurt or milk (dairy…
