Cool Recipes for FROZEN FOODS Pasta with Peas

This is so good—and as simple as it gets. You actually cook the peas just by draining the pasta over them in the colander! How fun is that?

❚ HANDS-ON TIME: 15 MINUTES ❚ TOTAL TIME: 30 MINUTES ❚ MAKES: 6 SERVINGS KITCHEN GEAR Measuring cupsMeasuring spoonsColanderLarge potPot holdersMugLarge bowl INGREDIENTS 1 (10-ounce) bag frozen peas (not defrosted)1 pound small whole-wheat pasta shapes (such as shells, macaroni, or ditalini)1 tablespoon olive oil1 tablespoon butter½ teaspoon salt¼ teaspoon black pepper½ cup grated Parmesan cheese INSTRUCTIONS 1. Put the peas in the colander and put the colander in the sink. 2. Fill the pot halfway with water and bring to a boil over high heat. 3. Add the pasta and cook until tender, about 12 minutes.
