We’re introducing a new column called “See How to Make” to the magazine: recipes that are simple visual equations, showing the ingredients you need without a lot of instructional text. They’re a bigger-kid version of our beloved ChopChop Jr. page, and we love the way they promote creativity and confidence in the kitchen. See our three dressing “equations” on page 18, and make some salads to celebrate spring. Get the kids involved One effective way to encourage kids to cook is to let them flip through the magazine and pick out a recipe to make. If that won’t work for you in terms of the ingredients you have on hand or other constraints, put a sticky note on 3 or 4 pages that would work, and let your child pick one of…
