This cute little snack is creamy, crunchy, and satisfying. Plus, it’s fun to make with your friends after school!

❚ ADULT: YES ❚ HANDS-ON TIME: 10 MINUTES ❚ TOTAL TIME: 10 MINUTES ❚ MAKES: 2 SERVINGS KITCHEN GEAR Cutting board Sharp knife (adult needed) Measuring spoons Dinner knife INGREDIENTS 2 to 4 tablespoons nut or seed butter1 apple (any kind you like), cored and sliced into rounds2 teaspoons sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, and/or shredded coconut INSTRUCTIONS 1. Spread the nut butter on half the apple slices. Sprinkle with the seeds and/or coconut. 2. Top with the remaining apple halves and eat right away. GET CREATIVE 3 more ways to turn apple slices into a special snack: 1. Layer with cheddar cheese. 2. Dip into yogurt and then granola. 3. Sprinkle with ground cinnamon.
