One day, a man went to the country to find cattle , and an old woman directed him to a large herd. ‘Use my staff to drive the largest bull before you, and the herd will follow,’ she said. So he led the herd to Mount Kilimanjaro’s Kibo and Mawenzi peaks, which were joined at this time . He wanted to go between them and asked the woman for help . ‘If you help me plough my field, I’ll tell you how to drive Kibo and Mawenzi apart,’ she said.
