Before long, I’d be walking in the shadows along the valley of darkness… with the dead. It was February 2013. Strength I had to fight was gone. Vanished. Like the hair and weight I’d lost due to the chemo…the dignity. My partner Tina, 42, knew that I was giving up. ‘I won’t let it happen,’ she said. ‘You’ve got to fight.
