OUR TAKE Y&R Hot Topic: Chemistry 101 The beating heart of soaps will always be relationships — specifically love stories. So we watched with great interest as THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS threw together a slew of characters — Abby/Chance, Amanda/Billy, Victoria/Rey, Nick/Phyllis — to see how they played off one another. Even more interesting, we found ourselves enjoying all of the pairings. Abby and Chance weren’t too surprising — they’re gorgeous and single, so it seems entirely natural for them to be attracted to one another. Nick and Phyllis have a long history, but their playful banter reminded us how they became a couple in the first place. More surprising, perhaps, was Victoria and Rey’s unexpected rapport during the recent black out that hit Genoa City, as well…
