Richards Bay (1) 2 Mabaso 15’ Mbuthuma 61’ Moroka Swallows (0) 1 Mhango 50’ Richards Bay scored a goal in each half to secure a narrow victory over Moroka Swallows at the King Zwelithini Stadium yesterday. The Natal Rich Boys grabbed their second win over the Dube Birds this season and secured a place in the quarter-final stage of the Carling Knockout Cup. An unfamiliar name in Abel Mabaso got himself on the scoresheet pretty early in this encounter as he capitalised on some sloppy defending in the Swallows box in the 15th minute when the defensive midfielder found himself in just the right place to fire home from close range.
