Nienaber hopes to bring front-row grunt

Wynona Louw wynona.louw@inl.co.za Springbok coach Jacques Nienaber says his front-row – with two new props – will have to lay a solid foundation in their second Test against the British & Irish Lions at Cape Town Stadium on Saturday. Nienaber made three changes to the starting XV for their must-win encounter. Two of those changes are in the front row, where Steven Kitshoff has been given the nod along with tighthead Frans Malherbe, replacing Ox Nche and Trevor Nyakane on either side of Bongi Mbonambi. During the team announcement, Nienaber explained that Nche – who was a standout in the series-opener last weekend – was ruled out due to the neck injury that led to his half-time substitution, along with the entire front row.
