Okuhle Hlati okhule.hlati@inl.co.za REFUGEE leader Hafiz Mohammed at the Paint City site in Bellville said the community was calm and ready for anything as today is expected to be D-day for all services and facilities to be shut down. An urgent notice from the Department of Home Affairs was issued last Friday to all asylum seekers and refugees that have been living at the two temporary shelters, Paint City and the Wingfield military base in Kensington. The notice states that today all services, as well as temporary structures such as tents and ablution facilities will be removed. It further notes: “Any person on site, after April 30, without the express approval of the land owners, will be dealt with in terms of the applicable laws.” The notice came four days…
