75-year-old Covid-19 survivor shares vaccine excitement

Staff writer COVID-19 has claimed many lives over the past year and the roll-out of vaccination campaigns across the world has brought much-needed hope to many, particularly the elderly who have been hospitalised due to the virus. Seventy-five-year-old Richard Nessworthy said he is looking forward to the protection against severe Covid-19 that the vaccine will offer. He was hospitalised at the Brackengate Hospital of Hope between January 18 and February 25, this year after contracting the virus. “I went in there with a 50/50 chance of surviving, but I came out alive. They saved my life, and I am so grateful to the health-care workers at the Brackengate Hospital of Hope. Because of them, I am able to stand here with my wife today. “I was on oxygen support…
