I READ with interest the article of Lorenzo Davids “How Ramaphosa failed his country” (Monday, 10 March) and would like to piggyback on his slogan ‘how can they not know’. This also holds true for a related article on the same page, ‘South Africa could be forced to drop genocide case’.
During his SONA speech, Ramaphosa made reference to the Khoisan leader Autshumato and the Battle of Salt River (1510) during which the Portuguese suffered a humiliating defeat at the hands of the Khoi. Since he knew this history, he should know that the greatest genocide that was committed by the Europeans was on African soil.
Whereas millions of rands have been spent on the Palestinian ‘genocide’ case, the Ramaphosa-administration is not even able to balance the nation’s budget –…
