Nanaimo, B.C.’s Bastion Run Club (BRC) stands by three important pillars: to provide camaraderie, to support the community and to engage in friendly competition. Often combining all three goals into its range of events and workouts, the club that kicked off in 1981 with just seven members has now supported more than 300 runners as they stay active on the island. BRC’s membership comes with more perks than simply hitting the trails with your community. Its annual membership includes discounts at multiple running stores, access to its annual general meeting, club logo apparel and more.
