Gearing Up for Winter Running

RUNNERS BERNARD ABARQUEZ is a Toronto runner with a passion for the arts. He works an admin job in the corporate sector, which allows him to run with multiple local clubs every week. In 2021, to celebrate his 42nd birthday, he took on a 10-month project, doing marathon-distance runs every week for 42 weeks. He ran the 2024 TCS Toronto Waterfront Marathon while contributing live updates to the race broadcast via his phone, which was mounted on a hand-held gimbal. BENET AVERY runs with various clubs around the Toronto, training with Culture Athletics for marathons. In addition to running two businesses, Benet teaches Pilates at Studio Lagree and Fortides. At the 2024 TCS Toronto Waterfront Marathon she set a Guinness World Record for the fastest marathon run in a hospital gown (3:28:22)…
