Sudbury is the largest city in northern Ontario, and its location in the Canadian Shield makes it a playground for trail runners. You won’t see any tall mountains in the area, but there are plenty of lakes, rivers, streams and marshes, as well as the occasional rocky cliff and some permafrost. Most of the area’s elevation ranges from 150–400 metres, but with nature so close to the downtown core, it’s a fun place to explore on two feet. Easy Kivi Park Blue Trail With more than 55 km of trails, Kivi Park, at Sudbury’s south end, offers a variety of outdoor activities year-round.
