CANON DEBUTS TWO NEW VCM-POWERED RF MOUNT PRIMES

JOINING THE EXISTING Canon RF 35mm f/1.4L VCM – and sharing similar designs and dimensions – are 24mm and 50mm L series models; both with a maximum aperture of f/1.4 and both employing voice coil motor (VCM) autofocusing drives. Both are termed “hybrid lenses” by Canon which means they are equally designed for both photo and video applications and can be used on RF mount mirrorless bodies and Cinema EOS video cameras. The VCM drive is designed to move the heavier focusing group and works alongside Canon's ‘Nano USM' drive to deliver exceptionally fast autofocusing with near-silent operation.
