THANK-YOU TO THE sharp-eyed readers for spotting the error in my editorial in the last issue which was titled ‘The Exit Of Entry Level?'. As all correctly pointed out, the AV-1 from 1979 was an aperture-priority auto model and not shutter-priority auto. This was its only means of exposure control and it was, in fact, one of a huge number of similar models that appeared at the end of the 1970s and the start of the 1980s as budget-priced entries to automatic exposure control. The roll call included the Nikon EM (1979), Olympus OM-10 (1979), Pentax MV (1979), Fujica AX-1 (1980) and Ricoh XR-6 (1981), among many others.
