For the 2022 edition of Cellars in the Sky, we saw entries from 22 airlines spanning an impressive collection of reds, whites, rosés and sparkling varieties.

These were carefully tested by our esteemed panel of judges, comprising John Worontschak, Helen McGinn, Masters of Wine Peter McCombie and Sarah Abbott, and head judge Charles Metcalfe, founder of the International Wine Challenge.

The results were announced on February 20, 2023 at a grand prize-giving ceremony at the Meliá White House on Albany Street, London. The event was sponsored by Whispering Angel, whose fabulous displays added glamour to the occasion.

Singapore Airlines had a successful evening, scooping five Gold awards including the coveted prize for Best Overall Cellar. On the night, prizes were presented by head judge Charles Metcalfe, while those attending could sample the winning wines for themselves. It was a fantastic evening, and a great opportunity to catch up with everyone in the industry following a difficult few years. A huge well done to the winners and thank you to all those who attended.
