FINLAND TOPPED THE charts with a score of 7.804. This score is based on the ‘life evaluation’ question in the Gallup World Poll. For this, participants are asked to rate their happiness via ‘The Cantril Ladder’, a method that asks respondents to think of a ladder, with the best possible life for them being a 10 and the worst possible life being a 0. They are then asked to rate their current lives on that 0 to 10 scale. Further analysis by the UN WHR body then seeks to understand these scores based on six key variables which include: GDP per capita, social support, healthy life expectancy, freedom to make life choices, generosity and freedom from corruption.…
