HOTEL Review WHAT'S IT LIKE? Francophiles are likely familiar with Fouquet's Paris, the sumptuous hotel on the Champs-Élysées that has been open since 1899. The property's brasserie is a perennial mainstay for the glamorous set and a prime people-watching spot. Family-owned hotel company Barrière is enjoying the same success stateside with Fouquet's New York, an eye-candy property in Manhattan. The hotel brings a slice of Paris into Tribeca, a neighbourhood known for its art galleries and buzzy restaurants. Fans of Fouquet's have flocked to the New York incarnation.
