Cabin glow-up

Ahead of its centenary in 2025, Delta has unveiled designs of its new cabin interiors for a gradual roll-out across its fleet of about 1,000 aircraft

LOOK OUT for Delta's new look, debuting on a Boeing 757 aircraft this autumn, followed by the first A350 early next year. Expect warmer tones, nods to Delta's original heritage colours, natural materials and mood lighting for each phase of the flight. Works will include the reupholstering of Delta One seats using a “breathable” wool and nylon blend fabric – which is lighter than current seat covers and better regulates temperature – as well as a leather headrest. Delta Premium Select and (domestic) first class seats, and Delta Comfort+ and Main Cabin seats on widebody aircraft will benefit from memory foam cushions and new seat covers, while Delta Comfort+ and Main Cabin seats on other aircraft will see leather seat covers with updated colours and signature stitching.
